More about The Tale of Peter Rabbit 50p

This special edition 50p coin was issued in 2017 to celebrate one of Beatrix Potter’s much loved characters.  ‘The Tale of Peter Rabbit’ was the first of Beatrix Potter’s tales and introduced the mischievous blue-coated bunny to the world. Generations of children have enjoyed Peter’s antics and the story of his escape from Mr McGregor’s vegetable garden.

Beatrix Potter lived from 1866 to 1943 and was the artist behind some of the best-loved characters in children’s literature.

This is one of the four Beatrix Potter 50p coins released in 2017.

Hi there
I am not specifically a collector; rather just interested in some of them that are nice to look at and to have. However, I have a “The tale of Peter Rabbit” 50p coin that has a very strange/unique “goldish” or copper tint to it. Anyone know why that might be?

Could be a gold 1. I was looking at gold 1s earlier. Xxx
